A Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring that equipment, machinery, and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and without interruption. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance programs. This position requires a Maintenance Mechanic who is skilled in troubleshooting, understands mechanical systems, and can work both independently and as part of a maintenance team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will handle routine inspections, corrective repairs, and essential maintenance tasks that keep operations running smoothly.

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform mechanical repairs on equipment, identify worn or damaged parts, and make recommendations for replacements. The Maintenance Mechanic helps monitor equipment performance, maintain maintenance logs, and follow safety procedures while completing mechanical tasks. A successful Maintenance Mechanic is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working with tools, machines, and mechanical systems safely and efficiently. Daily responsibilities for the Maintenance Mechanic include troubleshooting machinery issues, lubricating components, performing calibrations, and assisting with installations. The Maintenance Mechanic may also help maintain HVAC systems, conveyors, motors, pumps, and other building or production equipment. This role helps the Maintenance Mechanic strengthen their technical skills, mechanical knowledge, and understanding of safety standards.

The Maintenance Mechanic supports inventory management for spare parts, organizes tools, and ensures proper documentation of all repairs. The Maintenance Mechanic collaborates with technicians, supervisors, and other team members to complete maintenance assignments and support operational goals. The Maintenance Mechanic must be physically capable of handling equipment, lifting tools, and performing manual work when required.

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Mechanic

• Perform mechanical repairs, routine maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.

• Inspect machinery, identify mechanical issues, and recommend corrective actions.
